George Castelle

Accompanying Colleen Anderson on guitar is George Castelle, who provided backup on both of her recordings. In his "other" life, he is the Chief Public Defender in Charleston, West Virginia. In 1997 Castelle received the National Legal Aid and Defender Association's Reginald Heber Smith Award for exposing crime lab fraud and freeing innocent prisoners wrongfully convicted by false scientific data. He writes and lectures extensively on identifying and addressing untrustworthy forensic science, combining research into the causes of wrongful convictions with practical courtroom experience in representing the wrongfully accused. His work has been featured on 60 Minutes, Dateline, and 48 Hours.
