Joanne Juskus
"File under heavenly voices," says Albert Garzon, former
producer for 10,000 Maniacs, of Joanne Juskus. Recently chosen
as a "Top 10 Favorite of the Year" by The Washington
Post, she has received numerous Wammie nominations, including
Best Contemporary Folk Vocalist, Best Contemporary Folk Group
and Best Debut Recording from the Washington Area Music Association.
Following her success on MP3.com, with her songs repeatedly reaching
Top-10 status, and winning the 2001 Silver Prize in Adult Contemporary
Songwriting in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, Joanne has been
performing with her co-writer and producer, Brad Allen and their
band, garnering praise from critics and audiences alike. Her live
performances have been called "a mesmerizing sound not to
be matched" (Dawson Concerts) and "incredibly compelling"
(Frederick Festival of the Arts). She has performed at such venues
as Merriweather Post Pavilion, New York City's Knitting Factory,
