Lonesome Highway

Lonesome Highway has been together for the past six years and has released one album, "Look Back on Love." This Hampshire County (WV) band is popular for their strong lead vocals and harmony that leads to a pleasing blend of traditional and contemporary bluegrass songs as well as their original material. They have opened for many top-name acts such as IIIrd Tyme Out, The James King Band, Blue Highway, Mac Wiseman, and Kathy Mattea.

Lonesome Highway has won band competitions at Watermelon Park, VA, and The Berlin Fiddler's Convention (MD), and recently placed 5th in the prestigious SPBGMA International Band Competition in Nashville, TN.

Members of the band, John Arnold III on banjo, Jimmy Kountz on mandolin, Jody Southerly on bass and Tim Southerly on guitar, are all graduates of Hampshire High School who have been playing bluegrass music for the past 20 years. Visit their website at:www.jdknet.com/lhway .
