Pangea Steel Band

 

 

PANGEA Steel Band, under the direction of Adam Mason, is made up of the region's finest steel drummers and has played sounds of the Caribbean, with traditional calypso, samba, soca, reggae, bossa nova and cha cha arrangements for thousands around West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

PANGEA has performed at festivals such as Multi-Fest at the State Capitol in Charleston, major fund raisers, large corporate events, arts series concerts throughout the region, countryclubs and private events.

Adam Mason serves as Director of Percussion at West Virginia University, Kurry Seymour is Graduate Assistant Director of the WVU Steel Band David Longfellow is quickly gaining a national reputation as a leading performer in the United States. Glenn Rowsey is a professional steel drum maker under Dr. Ellie Mannette, father of the Steel Drum and inventor of the modern instrument.
