Anne Renee Livingston
Anne-Renee grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She found
her creative side about the age of 10 where she did many paintings
in oils and watercolors. She received her BFA from Clemson University
where she was able to expand her knowledge of art. It was there
that she became interested in ceramics and printmaking. After
college she received her teaching certificate and taught K-12
for the past ten years. In 2006 she and her husband decided to
move to Hampshire County after owning a vacation home in the
county for several years.
About five years ago Anne-Renee had an opportunity to learn
the basics of stained glass. She had always been interested to
learn the technique. Since then she has created commissioned
pieces for places such as Buddy’s Elliot Street Bar and
Grill in Canton, MD and Villanova University in Villanova, PA.
Her work can be seen at www.designsfromtheheart-wv.com .
All work is original although Anne-Renee tends to like to design
things dealing with nature.
Since moving to Hampshire County Anne-Renee has wanted to open
an art studio and gallery. Phase one of her goal just began in
June 2007. Phase one is the art studio, Glass House Studio. There
she and other local artists teach classes such as printmaking,
stained glass, basket weaving, drawing, Americana painting and
ceramics. Classes are being offered on a three month schedule.
At the end of the three months there will be an artists reception
to showcase what has been produced by each artists. Please check
the website for updated class schedule at www.glasshousestudio-wv.com .
She also is selling her stained glass work. In the September
2007she will be selling art and stained glass supplies. Phase
two is the art gallery where she would like to sell local artist
work.
