Michael F. Hughes
Michael Hughes is a poet who has lived in Hampshire County for
the past 20 years. He has published poems in magazines, such as
"Now and Then", has poems in an anthology of county
writers called "Summer Winds", is the current chair
of the Ice Mountain Writers group, and the regional representative
of W V Writers. He produces an annual "Evening of Poetry
and Song" in the spring, does readings around the county,
and has become involved in putting on dramatic monologues of historical
figures who lived in the county. In his spare time he teaches
special education at Hampshire High School. He lives outside Romney
with his wife Janet and six cats.
