Shari Gallery

A founding member and three-term co-director of the Hampshire County Arts Council, Shari Gallery has long served as HCAC's Concerts Chair and is now Performing Arts Chair.  She compiles weekly e-mail Arts Alerts for the Council and wears the hat of webmaster.

In her "spare" time, Gallery pursues visual arts in a varity of media, from photography and watercolor to acrylics, colored-pencil and prints.  A Studio Art major at Sweet Briar College, she pursued a career in publishing in the Washington, DC, area following college, exercising her art skills in publication design.

She moved to Hampshire County with her family (writer, husband, Phil Gallery, and four kids) in 1985 and worked for many years with the WV state travel guide through her company, Gallery Communications & Marketing.  In recent years she has stayed closer to home, concentrating on publication and marketing projects in the area and moving into web design.  In spring 2007 she added the hat of Artistic Director for The Bottling Works.

In January 2007 Gallery mounted a display of her work upstairs at the Hampshire County Public Library.
